CRE brokers are turning to drones to overcome COVID constraints

A drone media company said it had seen a major boom in the EU Commercial real estate Business Area (CRE) thanks to COVID-19 lockdowns that restricted travel, site visits and face-to-face meetings in CRE sales.

According to DroneVideos.com, major brokers like CBRE, JLL, Avison Young, and others turned to custom drone videos and aerial photography during the pandemic. Instead of visiting properties in person, CRE brokers use professional drone photos to attract buyers and close sales. The company said sellers are also using their services for roof and construction inspections, land surveys, and maintenance updates.

“The commercial real estate segment of our business exploded during the pandemic,” said Christopher Jesuele, CEO and co-founder of DroneVideos.com. “Seismic changes caused by COVID in industries such as online shopping, warehousing, hospitality, healthcare, shopping streets, office and multi-family complexes and factories have generated exceptional real estate sales.”

The drone company offers all-inclusive package deals with no travel expenses or hidden fees. DroneVideos.com also has a fully automated system that realtors can use to order and plan shootings online. It also includes the date and time when a property is best viewed.

“We’re fully equipped and ready to shoot nationwide – able to meet the growing demand for aerial photography and drone video in the commercial real estate sector,” said Jesuele.
