The CrossCountry Mortgage Paint the District Mural Contest is seeking new artist submissions through September 1st for the chance to enter the second round of its annual contest, where the final winners will have the opportunity to display their mural at the new CrossCountry Mortgage headquarters in Cleveland’s. to have exhibited fine arts district.
In addition to the call for new artists, the company has announced that public online voting is now open until September 30th to select the winner for the first round of the competition.
CrossCountry Mortgage announced the Paint the District competition in June, which coincides with the start of construction on its 168,000-square-foot corporate campus. The competition celebrates the artistic spirit of the old town and the company’s new role as a member of the community.
“We want everyone in the greater Cleveland area to see and feel the creative energy of the Superior Arts District as we prepare to move our headquarters to this exciting neighborhood,” said Laura Soave, chief brand officer in a statement. “We are enthusiastic about the response to our first round of the competition and ask other artists to submit proposals for the second round.”
The Paint the District competition accepts artist proposals every quarter. From the entries received for each round, CrossCountry Mortgage will select three artists to compete to participate in the public vote this quarter. The winners of each of the four rounds will be drawn into the finals, where they will make a proposal for a permanent installation in the new company headquarters, which is expected to open in spring 2022.
