FHA Mortgage Help Available | WIBW News Now

Are you struggling with your mortgage payments due to the pandemic?

If you have an FHA loan, help might be there.

Anyone with a Federal Housing Administration insured mortgage who is unable to pay their mortgage due to financial difficulties due to COVID-19 can apply for Mortgage Ease or Forbearance.

Mortgage Forbearance is when you have worked with your mortgage administrator to temporarily pause or reduce your monthly mortgage payments.

Through July 31st, individuals with an FHA mortgage can ask their mortgage servicer to temporarily suspend or reduce their monthly mortgage payments.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all homeowners with FHA insured loans can ask for an omission with no penalty.

When working with your mortgage administrator, indicate that you have a hardship related to COVID-19.

You do not have to prove this hardship.

Request a COVID-19 omission on your mortgage payments.

Ask your servicer to confirm the details of your deferral agreement in writing.
