Schenck and several volunteers walked six miles to the PenFed financial center at the Pentagon to see how they could help the team and others who were immediately affected.

All staff at the PenFed Financial Center in the Pentagon were safely evacuated on September 11th, and the credit union resumed operations the next day to provide continued service and support to the Pentagon community.

His desk in the Pentagon was 30 meters from where the plane’s nose hit the building. “Everyone between my desk and the plane perished. You don’t forget something like that. It stays with you forever.
