A Purple Heart veteran received a brand new, mortgage-free home for free on Wednesday. Building houses for heroes with the help of Advanced Auto Parts, JP Morgan Chase, and Lowes made it possible for Lance Corporal Brian Dunn, his wife, and their five children. Dunn served in Iraq and is the 16th in his family to serve in the military. He was injured when his vehicle drove over an explosive device. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, a broken jaw, and broken vertebrae. The Boiling Springs, South Carolina home is a gift for his service. “This is not just a house. It is a life for our family. It is the ability to provide love and care for them and give them all the opportunities in life I never had,” said Dunn, 250 homes for military veterans nationwide.
