King, his wife, and their five children previously lived in an apartment in Brooklyn, New York before moving to the New Brunswick home.

King posted on his social media that he has decided to move out of the New Jersey house for security reasons. Atlanta Black Star reported.

“I had a heartbreaking decision to make today,” said King. “After a combination of Fox News, the NY Post, and other sales outlets that have published pictures of my home on the Internet, we have now seen that our address has been published all over the Internet. Strangers are already walking past the house. My kids can’t even go outside and play in the last month of summer vacation. So we’re moving. “

S. Lee Merritt, a civil rights attorney and friend of King, is also ask asked his social media followers for financial support to help King move out of the house.

King, who describes himself as an advocate for black social justice, has been widely criticized over the years for allegations of using his stance as an ally of Black Lives Matter as a method of monetary and social exploitation.

Numerous publications and critics had previously questioned the methods King could acquire the house in the first place. The news of his planned move follows the ridicule of earlier this year Samaria rice.

In June, Rice, the mother of Tamir Reis, the 12-year-old boy who was murdered by police firearms in 2014, called King in an Instagram post for publicly disclosing a private conversation between the two, as previously reported by theGrio.

Rice described King as “a white man who behaves black” and called him a “cheat”.

“Personally, I don’t understand how you sleep at night. I’ve never given you permission to raise anything,” Rice said on social media. “Together with the United States, you robbed me for my son’s death.”

While King stated that his PhD wife bought the house with the help of an FHA loan, Black company reported that King had asked his followers to send money to his Rai-Tonicia King through CashApp and Venmo on his Facebook page to “take some pressure off her” when she finished school.

At the time of King’s post about his wife, he was on vacation with his family in the Caribbean, the sales outlet said.
