Ms. Mitchell is the co-founder of Guardians of Honor (GOH), a consulting firm with over 20 years of success providing grant management, research and evaluation, logistics and technical assistance solutions to government, industry and community organizations such as AmeriCorps Army-Congress-led medical research program , Health and Social Services, National Institutes of Health, and the US Department of the Treasury. Prior to GOH, Ms. Mitchell worked in the Office of General Counsel for a variety of public and private organizations, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Federal Elections Commission, the United States Postal Service, Unisys Corporation, and Rolls-Royce North America.
In addition to her other duties, Ms. Mitchell serves on the board of Virginia Career Works and Work STEM for you. She is also the vice-chairwoman of the Loudoun County GovCon Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Cybersecurity CoE Advisory Board for Northampton Parish University.
Susan holds a Masters Degree in Executive Leadership from University of Freedom, a diploma from Hampton University, and a BS in Mass Communication from Norfolk State University.
