WAUKESHA, WI – A Waukesha family was surprised Wednesday by news that their mortgage and taxes for the month were paid thanks to Envoy Mortgage.
The surprise was part of the company Gift from home Program designed to show gratitude to customers across the country during a financially challenging time.
The program recipient, Matthew Sedlmeier, served in the Navy and is now an electrician with Lemberg Electric while his wife, Heather, is a part-time accountant.
The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the Sedlmeier family when Heather lost her full-time job at an accounting firm due to the financial impact of the pandemic on her clients. Uncertainty also remained for Matthew with unpredictable work.
Despite the challenges, the couple closed their home in March last year, welcomed their first son into the world during the pandemic and are now expecting their second son in August.
This year, Envoy Mortgage will give 50 customers in the United States mortgage payments and tax benefits of up to $ 150,000 (up to $ 3,000 per household).
For the greatest benefit, home gift recipients have been randomly selected from among current Envoy Mortgage Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or Federal Housing Administration (FHA) borrowers, particularly those who serve their communities as military veterans Responders, nurses, educators, small business owners and employees have given something back.
