OBERMARLBORO, Md. (WJZ) – A Maryland man is facing a lawsuit for alleged mortgage theft in Prince George District Court on Monday, according to a statement from the Prince George’s County Attorney’s Office.
William Wayland is charged with theft, illegal exercise of justice and related charges. The prosecution has accused him of acting as a lawyer and providing mortgage-related services in connection with money.
The trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in courtroom M2408. It is expected to be a banking process, which means that a judge instead of a jury will decide the verdict.
